Made it to Madrid and more!

Well, we made it to Madrid after a long flight that was delayed by an hour. I got here on time however.

Was unable to sleep at all unfortunately. Got here at 9:20 in the morning and to hotel about 11 or so and started our day. We were staying right in Midtown Madrid walked everywhere and visited the Royal palace of Madrid. That was quite interesting and we ate dinner at a nice restaurant right outside the door of our hotel. I feel quite safe in this city while we were walking around so very few homeless but did see some. This morning, I was able to visit the a la cathedral de Santa Maria. Oh my gosh, what a beauty I spent about 30 or 40 minutes in the cathedral and it just took my breath away. I’ll share a few pictures.

I got lost trying to find my way back to our hotel or somewhat lost not bad but ended up getting back to the hotel a little late and we managed to missed our train to Sarria so we’re sitting at the train station waiting for the next train which is at 5 o’clock tonight. We won’t get into Sarria about 10 this evening and then start our walk tomorrow sometime

oh! On my way back to the hotel from the cathedral trying to find my way I stopped to ask a lady if she knew where our hotel was and she pointed in the direction and then she proposition me! LOL I Paul refused just so you’ll know! :-)

I will try to another post tonight before we turn in once I get on Wi-Fi. Hope all is well back in the states. We’re having a good time.
